New York, NY, February 11th, 2008 – SWANK Productions partnered up with Conde Nast Publications Brides and Brides.com to design the set for their rendition of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.
At ABC Studios, Bridal couples competed for different key wedding items and of course the final prize was one million dollars. Brides and Brides.com wanted to shake things up from the ordinary while achieving their goal. Working together with SWANK Productions, the objective was to use an iconic media event and reach the publications’ target audience of brides. The episodes aired during one of the most important times in the event planning industry, bridal week.
The entire “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” set was given the Swank treatment as the cold metal from the usual set was transformed into a sleek and modern studio. SWANK Productions redesigned the set by staying away from the typical romantic concepts and using more structured elements such as calla lily columns and orchid frames. The high-tech chairs were traded in and SWANK Productions converted the existing seating by removing the arms and adding cushions to create “love seats”. The innovative ideas of Brides and Brides.com combined with fresh industry concepts from SWANK produced a successful and memorable week of episodes.
